4 Next-Generation Laser-Based Transponder and 3D Switch for Free Space Optics in Nanosatellite

Authors: Nadir Atayev, Mehman Hasanov

Abstract:

Future spacecraft will require a structural change in the way data is transmitted due to the increase in the volume of data required for space communication. Current radio frequency communication systems are already facing a bottleneck in the volume of data sent to the ground segment due to their technological and regulatory characteristics. To overcome these issues, free space optics communication plays an important role in the integrated terrestrial space network due to its advantages such as significantly improved data rate compared to traditional RF technology, low cost, improved security, and inter-satellite free space communication, as well as uses a laser beam, which is an optical signal carrier to establish satellite-ground & ground-to-satellite links. In this approach, there is a need for high-speed and energy-efficient systems as a base platform for sending high-volume video & audio data. Nano Satellite and its branch CubeSat platforms have more technical functionality than large satellites, wheres cover an important part of the space sector, with their Low-Earth-Orbit application area with low-cost design and technical functionality for building networks using different communication topologies. Along the research theme developed in this regard, the output parameter indicators for the FSO of the optical communication transceiver subsystem on the existing CubeSat platforms, and in the direction of improving the mentioned parameters of this communication methodology, 3D optical switch and laser beam controlled optical transponder with 2U CubeSat structural subsystems and application in the Low Earth Orbit satellite network topology, as well as its functional performance and structural parameters, has been studied accordingly.

3 Channel That Can Be Used on Slope, Slide Prone and Seismic Areas, Swelling and Collapsing Soils

Authors: Sabir Tehrankhan Hasanov, Mir Movsum Anar Dadashev

Abstract:

The article provides a brief overview of irrigation systems and canals applied to slopes, landslide-prone, seismic areas, and swelling and collapsing soils. The contemporary construction of the canal used for irrigation, energy, and water supply purposes is described. In order to ensure the durability, longevity, and reliability of the channel, a damping mat made of cast material is created under its cover, and the top is covered with a waterproof screen. Dowels are placed on the bottom and sides of the channel, and the bottom dowel is riveted to the solid bedrock and connected with piles placed at certain distances. Drainage was placed next to the bottom dowel, an operation road was created on one side of the channel, and a berm road was created on the other side. A bathtub was built on the side of the road, and a forest-bush strip was built on its bank.

2 A Review of Psychological Factors in Epilepsy

Authors: Nusrat Hasanov, Khalil Aryanfar

Abstract:

Introduction: Epilepsy is one of the major diseases of the human nervous system. People with epilepsy are exposed to a range of psychological disorders. Psychological factors play an important role in the exacerbation or treatment of epilepsy. The first step in the treatment of epilepsy is drug therapy. Most psychological treatments aim to improve psychological well-being and control seizures. Behavioral approaches, cognitive-behavioral therapy, mind-body interventions, and acceptance and commitment therapy are widely used for the treatment of epilepsy. Psychosocial consequences such as general negative attitudes towards epilepsy and problems with stigma, family relationships, quality of life, marriage, and personality traits (such as stress, anxiety, depression, cognitive processes, and theory of mind) are usually associated with epilepsy. These points have addressed the key role of psychological treatments in addition to conventional treatment. Conclusion: Epileptic patients are expected to have more psychological problems. This emphasizes the necessity of psychological treatment along with drug treatment.

1 Assessment of the Efficacy of Oral Vaccination of Wild Canids and Stray Dogs against Rabies in Azerbaijan

Authors: E. N. Hasanov, K. Y. Yusifova, M. A. Ali

Abstract:

Rabies is a zoonotic disease that causes acute encephalitis in domestic and wild carnivores. The goal of our investigation was to analyze the data on oral vaccination of wild canids and stray dogs in Azerbaijan. Before the start of the vaccination campaign conducted by the International Dialogue for Environmental Action (IDEA) Animal Care Center (IACC), all rabies cases in Azerbaijan for the period of 2017-2020 were analyzed. So, 30 regions for oral immunization with the Rabadrop vaccine were selected. In total, 95.9 thousand doses of baits were scattered in 30 regions, 970 (0.97%) remained intact. In addition, a campaign to sterilize and vaccinate stray dogs and cats undoubtedly had a positive impact on reducing the dynamics of rabies incidence. During the period 2017-2020, 2339 dogs and 2962 cats were sterilized and vaccinated under this program. It can be noted that the risk of rabies infection can be reduced through special preventive measures against disease reservoirs, which include oral immunization of wild and stray animals.
