Water Temperature on Early Age Concrete Property
Authors: Tesfaye Sisay Dessalegn
Abstract:
The long-term performance of concrete structures is affected by the properties and behavior of concrete at an early age. However, the fundamental mechanisms affecting the early-age behavior of concrete have not yet been fully studied. The effect of water temperature on concrete is not sufficiently studied, and at the same time, the majority of studies focused on the effect of mixing water temperature on the workability and mechanical properties of concrete. However, to the best of the authors' knowledge, the effect of mixing water temperatures on plastic shrinkage cracking of concrete has not been studied yet. Keywords: water temperature, early age concrete strength, mechanical properties of concrete, strength
