1 The Basic Connotation and Generation Logic of Marx and Engels’ Late Community Thought

Authors: Wu Mengtong

Abstract:

In the early texts of Marx and Engels, their research on community thought mainly focused on German Ideology, and the academic community's research on Marx and Engels' community thought also mainly focused on this. However, in Marx and Engels' late works, such as Capital, Gotha Critical Program, and Anthropological Notebooks, the concept of "community" is also involved. This paper attempts to further study the basic connotation and generation logic of Marx and Engels' late community thought and understand the contemporary value of community thought from a complete theoretical form. In the perspective of Marx and Engels' late community theory, the basic connotation of their community thought is mainly reflected in the connotation of anthropology and the connotation of politics and economics; the main generation logic is mainly two: one is that they adhered to the analytical method of historical materialism, and the other is that they inherited the early community thought.
