Topology optimization has been\r\nimplemented through the use of finite element methods for the\r\nanalysis, and optimization techniques based on the method of moving\r\nasymptotes, genetic algorithms, optimality criteria method, level sets\r\nand topological derivatives. Case study of Typical \u201cFuselage design\"\r\nis considered for this paper to explain the benefits of Topology\r\nOptimization in the design cycle. A cylindrical shell is assumed as\r\nthe design space and aerospace standard pay loads were applied on\r\nthe fuselage with wing attachments as constraints. Then topological\r\noptimization is done using Finite Element (FE) based software.
