With the help of\r\nMATLAB\/SIMULINK software, the mathematical model of air-fuel\r\nratio control system for distributorless CNG engine is constructed.\r\nThe objective is to maintain cylinder-to-cylinder air-fuel ratio at a\r\nprescribed set point, determined primarily by the state of the Three-\r\nWay-Catalyst (TWC), so that the pollutants in the exhaust are\r\nremoved with the highest efficiency. The concurrent control of airfuel\r\nunder transient conditions could be implemented by Proportional\r\nand Integral (PI) controller. The simulation result indicates that the\r\ncontrol methods can easily eliminate the air\/fuel maldistribution and\r\nmaintain the air\/fuel ratio at the stochiometry within minimum\r\nengine events.","references":null,"publisher":"World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology","index":"Open Science Index 46, 2010"}
