Rabbani","country":null,"institution":"","volume":57,"journal":"International Journal of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering","pagesStart":1762,"pagesEnd":1772,"ISSN":"1307-6892","URL":"https:\/\/publications.waset.org\/pdf\/8012","abstract":"In the last decades to supply the various and different\r\ndemands of clients, a lot of manufacturers trend to use the mixedmodel\r\nassembly line (MMAL) in their production lines, since this\r\npolicy make possible to assemble various and different models of the\r\nequivalent goods on the same line with the MTO approach.\r\nIn this article, we determine the sequence of (MMAL) line, with\r\napplying the kitting approach and planning of rest time for general\r\nworkers to reduce the wastages, increase the workers effectiveness\r\nand apply the sector of lean production approach.\r\nThis Multi-objective sequencing problem solved in small size with\r\nGAMS22.2 and PSO meta heuristic in 10 test problems and compare\r\ntheir results together and conclude that their results are very similar\r\ntogether, next we determine the important factors in computing the\r\ncost, which improving them cost reduced. Since this problem, is NPhard\r\nin large size, we use the particle swarm optimization (PSO)\r\nmeta-heuristic for solving it. In large size we define some test\r\nproblems to survey it-s performance and determine the important\r\nfactors in calculating the cost, that by change or improved them\r\nproduction in minimum cost will be possible.","references":null,"publisher":"World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology","index":"Open Science Index 57, 2011"}
