We have devised a thermal carpet cloak theoretically
\r\nand implemented in silicon using layered metamaterial. The layered
\r\nmetamaterial is composed of single crystalline silicon and its phononic
\r\ncrystal. The design is based on a coordinate transformation. We
\r\ndemonstrate the result with numerical simulation. Great cloaking
\r\nperformance is achieved as a thermal insulator is well hidden under the
\r\nthermal carpet cloak. We also show that the thermal carpet cloak can
\r\neven the temperature on irregular surface. Using thermal carpet cloak
\r\nto manipulate the heat conduction is effective because of its low
\r\ncomplexity.<\/p>\r\n","references":"
