To reducing energy consumption for air\r\nconditioning purposes it is becoming attractive the use of evaporative\r\ncooling air conditioning which is less energy consuming compared to\r\nair chillers. But, it is obvious that higher energy efficiency of\r\nevaporative cooling is not enough to judge whether evaporative\r\ncooling economically is competitive with other types of cooling\r\nsystems. To proving the higher energy efficiency and cost\r\neffectiveness of the evaporative cooling competitive analysis of\r\nvarious types of cooling system should be accomplished. For noted\r\npurpose optimization mathematical model for each system should be\r\ncomposed based on system approach analysis. In this paper different\r\ntypes of evaporative cooling-heating systems are discussed and\r\nmethods for increasing their energy efficiency and as well as\r\ndetermining of their design parameters are developed. The\r\noptimization mathematical models for each of them are composed\r\nwith help of which least specific costs for each of them are reviled.\r\nThe comparison of specific costs proved that the most efficient and\r\ncost effective is considered the \u201cdirect evaporating\" system if it is\r\napplicable for given climatic conditions. Next more universal and\r\napplicable for many climatic conditions system providing least cost\r\nof heating and cooling is considered the \u201cdirect evaporating\" system.","references":null,"publisher":"World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology","index":"Open Science Index 44, 2010"}
