In this work, the effect of nonlinear and linear\r\nimpairments such as Four Wave Mixing (FWM) and amplifier\r\nspontaneous emission (ASE) noise are incorporated respectively. The\r\nnovel algorithm incorporates fuzzy logic controller (FLC) to reduce\r\nthe effect of FWM noise and ASE noise on a requested lightpath\r\nreferred in this work as FWM aware fuzzy dynamic routing and\r\nwavelength assignment algorithm. The FWM crosstalk products and\r\nthe static FWM noise power per link are pre computed in order to\r\nreduce the set up time of a requested lightpath, and stored in an\r\noffline database.
