The organizations in the knowledge economy era have
\r\nrecognized the importance of building knowledge assets for
\r\nsustainable growth and development. In comparison to other
\r\nindustries, Information Technology (IT) enterprises, holds an edge in
\r\ndeveloping an effective Knowledge Management (KM) programmethanks
\r\nto their in-house technological abilities. This paper tries to
\r\nstudy the various knowledge based incentive programmes and its
\r\neffect on Knowledge Sharing and Learning in the context of the
\r\nIndian IT sector. A conceptual model is developed linking KM
\r\nIncentives, Knowledge Sharing and Learning. A questionnaire study
\r\nis conducted to collect primary data from the knowledge workers of
\r\nthe IT organizations located in India. The data was analysed using
\r\nStructural Equation Modeling using Partial Least Square method. The
\r\nresults show a strong influence of knowledge management incentives
\r\non knowledge sharing and an indirect influence on learning.<\/p>\r\n","references":"[1] Liebowitz, J. (1999).
