Enterprise Architecture (EA) Implementation
\r\nMethodologies have become an important part of EA projects.
\r\nSeveral implementation methodologies have been proposed, as a
\r\ntheoretical and practical approach, to facilitate and support the
\r\ndevelopment of EA within an enterprise. A significant question when
\r\nfacing the starting of EA implementation is deciding which
\r\nmethodology to utilize. In order to answer this question, a framework
\r\nwith several criteria is applied in this paper for the comparative
\r\nanalysis of existing EA implementation methodologies. Five EA
\r\nimplementation methodologies including: EAP, TOGAF, DODAF,
\r\nGartner, and FEA are selected in order to compare with proposed
\r\nframework. The results of the comparison indicate that those
\r\nmethodologies have not reached a sufficient maturity as whole due to
\r\nlack of consideration on requirement management, maintenance,
\r\ncontinuum, and complexities in their process. The framework has
\r\nalso ability for the evaluation of any kind of EA implementation
\r\nmethodologies.<\/p>\r\n","references":"[1] A Practical Guide to Federal Enterprise Architecture by the CIO\r\nCouncil, Version 1.0, February 2001.\r\n[2] Aier, Stephan, Bettina Gleichauf, Jan Saat, and Robert Winter.\r\n\"Complexity Levels of Representing Dynamics in EA Planning.\" In\r\nAdvances in Enterprise Engineering III, pp. 55-69.
