The catalytic activity was investigated in syngas methanation reaction. Carbon oxides conversion and methane selectivity are greatly influenced by sodium loading. Adding 2 wt% Na remarkably improves catalytic activity and long-term stability, attributed to its smaller mean NiO particle size, better distribution, and milder metal-support interaction. However, excess addition of Na results in deactivation distinctly due to the blockage of active sites. }, journal = {International Journal of Chemical and Molecular Engineering}, volume = {8}, number = {7}, year = {2014}, pages = {649 - 653}, ee = {https://publications.waset.org/pdf/9998776}, url = {https://publications.waset.org/vol/91}, bibsource = {https://publications.waset.org/}, issn = {eISSN: 1307-6892}, publisher = {World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology}, index = {Open Science Index 91, 2014}, }
