A three-year field experiment (2010-2012) was
\r\nconducted to determine the abundance of epiphytic and endophytic
\r\nfilamentous fungi colonizing the grain of winter wheat cv. Bogatka.
\r\nWheat spikes were protected with tebuconazole or chitosan at the
\r\nwatery ripe stage. Untreated plants served as control. Tebuconazole
\r\nexerted an inhibitory effect primarily on F. culmorum and F.
\r\ngraminearum, and its effectiveness was determined by the pressure
\r\nfrom pathogens that infected wheat spikes during the growing season.
\r\nChitosan did not suppress the growth of Fusarium species and
\r\nAlternaria alternata.<\/p>\r\n","references":"
