\r\nof key factors that need to be considered in the design of offshore
\r\ninfrastructures. Unlike previous investigations, a three-dimensional
\r\nnumerical model for the wave-induced soil response around an
\r\noffshore pipeline is proposed in this paper. The numerical model was
\r\nfirst validated with 2-D experimental data available in the literature.
\r\nThen, a parametric study will be carried out to examine the effects of
\r\nwave, seabed characteristics and confirmation of pipeline. Numerical
\r\nexamples demonstrate significant influence of wave obliquity on the
\r\nwave-induced pore pressures and the resultant seabed liquefaction
\r\naround the pipeline, which cannot be observed in 2-D numerical
\r\nsimulation.","references":"[1] A. C. Palmer and R. A. King, Subsea pipeline engineering. PennWell\r\nBooks, 2004.\r\n[2] B. M. Sumer, F. H. Dixen, and J.
